Alabama Pigments Company has been asked to provide the concrete coloring for The University of Alabama - Huntsville's entry, "Full Spectrum" into the 2006 National Concrete Canoe Competition, which is organized by the American Society of Civil Engineers. The University of Alabama - Huntsville hopes to carry on its national championship tradition by capturing thier sixth title, the most for any school. Over 100 teams from various institutions of higher learning will compete for this coveted title. Alabama Pigments Company congratulates The University of Alabama-Huntsville for finishing seventh in the 2006 ASCE Concrete Canoe National Championship. After finishing first in the Southeastern Regional at the University of Florida in Gainsville, FL, UAH made a strong run at the national title before finishing a strong seventh to the eventual winner The University of Wisconsin-Madison. Wisconsin-Madison have now captured four straight national championships moving them into second place all time, in national championships, behind The University of Alabama-Huntsville.
